With Valentine's Day fast approaching people who are experiencing relationship difficulties are feeling a bit on edge. It seems to be another reminder of how they are not where they want to be in terms of romance in their lives. It's first best to keep in mind that this is a made up holiday. True romance occurs naturally in a relationship and there is no need to create a day for it so try to not fall into a societal trap. I like to do offbeat things on Valentine's Day. One of my favorite things to do is to watch the movie "When Harry Met Sally". I am wondering why I don't own this one!!! I like to get some special snack foods from my local gourmet market, fix myself an icy cold Martini, turn on the fireplace and watch my movie. I laugh every time. I also work late hours on Valentine's Day doing readings online for my other service. This year is my poker night. I'm hoping for a light turnout so I can win! As in all things in life it's how you choose to handle the day. Ultimately you are responsible for your own happiness and sense of personal beauty. When you realize this you are open to giving and sharing your happiness and no longer worry about what you will be receiving from others. This is why my favorite quote is "Be your own hero, you will love yourself for it"
